Nice easy one, I have a gas pipe, its metal, but painted, no supply to properly, its just capped, but live.
As for bonding, what would you do? Just sand some paint off and bung a clamp on it? That's my thoughts, whats yours? I know you are meant to only put it supply side, but there isn't one.

yeah i know that!!!Don't you bond on the consumer;s side of the Gas meter, there ain't a meter so how can you bond on the consumers side???

you say theres a metalclad socket outlet near it yes....Sorry i meant Consumers side of the meter, not supply side, my mistake, I do know that. I would imagine that it is extraneous as its been there 50 years and is metal, chances are it is, I will test it, but I can almost bet that it is, you would bond it if had a meter on the top wouldn't you...
