Recently moved into a house and there are exposed wires (3 wires) for overhead lights. I just need simple lightbulbs put in, so I got lightbulb connectors (see picture). I have a couple of questions.

The 3 wires have this little attachment with two screws on them (see the picture - I took it off one of them already). The lightbulb connector also has a place with two little screws. Is it fine to just take off the two screws on the wire, insert the wire into the lightbulb connector and screw it down or do I need some kind of attachment?

The lightbulb connectors have no ground pin and the wires have a ground wire. Is it safe to not use the ground wire and just tape it off?
thanks!

The E27 lampholder looks to be a Class II item which does not require an earth.

I'm not familiar with Italian regulations, but (in the UK) the connections need to be enclosed, and not just taped over (which doesn't count as enclosing them). For example, in a Wago box (if you have those in Italy).
