If you have any of the Bosch 10.8v tools, then get the torch, it is a good one, I have a maglite LED and a head torch, but I always go for that first.

I'm more of a Makita man myself :) I think they do the torches you can use the batteries with

Any links to these LED maglite or are they easy enough to pick up anywheres? Are they rechargeable or batteries

Just google maglite led and loads come up, there battery operated but last ages.

A couple of recommendations:
1) Makita BML 184. Works off their 18V Li-Ion batteries. The fluorescent light is bright, good spread and lasts well. (The ordinary lamp in the end isn't worth using). Good for standing or hanging next to the job.

2) Led Lenser P5. Compact; small enough to hold in your gob if you suddenly find you need two hands for a short time. Powered by one AA cell, so no need to find a matched set. Amazing bright light for the size. Adjustable beam size. Good for carrying around just in case needed. Best small LED torch I've tried.

I'll second HandySparks recommendations. I have a Makita torch that uses my drill batteries and is great as it stands up and the head tilts to point at what you need illuminating. I also have a LED Lenser P4 which is a great LED torch, see comparisons on YouTube as LED Lenser usually have a better beam of light than a Maglite.
For boots, I got some Scruffs Breeze from Screwfix for £19.99 and they have been great, now £14.99 in clearance http://www.*************/p/scruffs-breeze-hiker-boots-black-size-10/55354

I'll recommend LED Lenser too. Maplin have an offer on at the moment too.

I have the P7 which came with a smaller one, P5 I think, + the H7.
