Discuss Catering trailer connection question.... in the Commercial Electrical Advice area at ElectriciansForums.net

That depends.
If your feed is I independently fused, ie the fuse to the 16a socket has nothing else off it, then you should be ok. But if he has other things off this circuit, then you might cause him issues.
You have just dropped in the fact that you are setting up your Chuck wagon next to a petrol station.
How close are u to the pumps and petrol storage. That might be the bigger issue.

Im about 30m away from the pumps etc, down a 10ft ramp with 2 building between us. Its just they have a spare connection at the side of their building on the way down the ramp.

@rsgaz worth a try

And if he brings his Chuck wagon up to the city of culture I will expect free food all day :)
he'd not be wise bringing the wagon to the true city of culture, Liverpool. it's be on bricks within 2 minutes of him parking up. :p

And it rules out the naked flames lol. Are you replacing a one that has always been there ?

No, 1st time anyway has been there. Im well away from anything combustible though. Except my own gas bottles which are in a separate metal box on top of the A frame.

There are strict regulations on forecourts , but I expect that is taken care of and you are aware of it.
I am fairly sure there is.
I've only ever done electrical work on a forecourt once. I remember a specialist from the petroleum industry telling us about all switches etc having having spark arrestors. They supplied all the gear. Even the JB' s had to be resin filled to prevent re-entry.
It was back in the 90s and I can't remember the details.
