Hi all,

Just a quick simple question if any of you have a Clarke CON1450WC wall chaser.

Does the unit fit in the case with the blades attached? Looks like it doesn't from the picture on the Machine Mart website.

I've used the cheapie Screwfix Erbauer chaser before and it drove me mad having to remove the blades each time to fit it in the case!

Many thanks.

Little tip pal, don't use Clarke gear, it will fall apart in your hands!

If you have the money, invest in a good one. I still have my Hilti from four years ago, it sees daily use and still runs like it's brand new!

Don't ever under any circumstances even if your life depends on it buy that useless chunk of pig iron! I bought it and it looks the part but the first chase the dust extract broke which didn't really matter because the dust escapes from everywhere else anyway, unless you're very easy on it the motor struggles and heats up to the point you can hardly touch it and when you take it back to machine mart they say there's nothing wrong with it and it takes a fight to get your money back, go with the erbauer one from screwfix, they're a much better company to deal with and its a much better chaser

I have the Erbauer one which also did not fit in the case until someone on here told me to put it in the case with the blades rotating so they cut a hole in the case leaving about 1/2" of blade sticking out.The Erbauer works fine for me and even with a little Henry doing the sucking does not allow much dust to escape. I don't use it every day so cannot comment on longevity.
