We have UL 508A for US and C22.2 No. 286 and No.14 code books for Canada. I have seen TEW, THHN wires etc., being used for wiring inside the panel. We have 480V 3 phase and other derived single phase voltages from transformer like 208/120 and 24VDC. We have been using Black TEW for all high AC voltages and Red/ white for 120VAC and blue and blue/white for 24VDC. Is there a mandatory requirement for using the color code for these circuits that are generated inside the control panels? Generally the panel drawings do explain the voltages and we can keep a consistent coloring. Any answers are much appreciated.

No colour code for internal wires the supply in the UK is brown live, blue neutral, and green and yellow earth/ground 230v ac. gray black brown three phase 400 v

Wrong, there are colour codes for internal panel wiring in the UK - we follow EN 60204-1 not BS7671. e.g. AC control is red, DC control is blue, external control is orange. But the OP is in Canada so this might or might not be applicable to the equipment he is talking about.
