Discuss Combo or drill driver in the Australia area at ElectriciansForums.net

makita 18v li-ion. all the way. Don't get the metal chuck 3 speed, they have gearbox issues and you only need two speed anyway. Once you have the batteries/ charger, you can expand the range buying the 'body only'. So far I have the reciprocating saw, drill, sds drill, and the impact driver.

I cant comment on what Voltz says, but Makita do have a good reputation. i personally have an 18v dewalt combi. awesome and change out of £100 if you shop about.

Cheers..........Howard

Depends what you do and what other gear you've got - there's little point getting a combi if you never drill into masonry or if you've always got an SDS to hand for doing that.
