Is it acceptable to lim on eic for supply characteristics? I had a job in a hospital today and I couldnt gain access to the Switch room and the engineer couldn't give me the information I was looking for.

My understanding is, as long as bonding is in place and verified, I can put this as a limitation in the departures box.

I will ask my boss to call the nic tomorrow, I'm curios to other peoples opinions and thought process on this one.

You put on your post Eic not EICR., besides you need guidance from your boss who teaching you before he asks NIC EIC.
Yes EIC not EICR. So if your in a large industrial building, where you can't disconnect the main earth to obtain a true ZE, nor determine the fuse types/sizes etc and you can't gain access to the switch room what would you do?

Genuine question.

EIC formats assume all parts will be completed, they don't consider restrictions on existing installations it happens all the time.
There isn't really an area for you to note this. I tend to note it in Comments On Existing Installation.

Yes, it's not always that straightforward when installing 1 new commando outlet in an industrial warehouse with 50 plus Distribution boards.

We’ve just changed DB’s in a big Domestic Property after an EICR all remedial works are completed, with it an EIC issued.
The property is actually in a good condition, issuing an EIC is the only option.
With that comes responsibility for that installation even though we haven’t done any cabling only replacement of DB’s.
There are a couple of circuits that we cannot access, including the External Sewage Pump area a Zs measurement 16.98 ohms Rcbo protected .
Where to you go from there…
