hi guys

is it acceptable to use pvc trunking to run 25mm tails externally from meter cupboard 1m vertically up then through cavity (25mm conduit) into back of cu. or do you have to use metal trunking to satisfy mechanical protection?

cu located in tiled kitchen so i cant run trunking internally from meter cupboard to cu any advice

many thanks

Sorry to be boring and quoting regs but have a look at 522.8.1. Basically its up to you if you think the cable needs mechanical protection or not. For 25mm tails outside I would be a bit overkill and use metal conduit but if you think that there is no chance of it being damage use pvc or none at all.
