Hi, I'm currently putting up my lazy spa jaccuzi. It will be positioned up the garden so I will need a socket located away from the house. I have spoke over the phone to several electriction but had several different options. One has recommended spuring of a nearby socket and another has recommended coming off the fuse board. None have came out to view the job due to the current situation with c19.
Today I have noticed that I have what I believe is a junction box out side my conservatory. This feeds one socket and a spur and has a 32 amp fuse in the board. My question is would it be possible to run armoured cable from that junction box to the new outdoor socket location?

The first thing you need to be very sure of is the load of the jacuzzi. If it is already supplied with a moulded 13A plug that is simple, but some outdoor things actually need more (e.g. a commando style 16A plug or hard wired in).

Assuming it is a standard 13A socket, if you already have that junction box for something similar then taking from there is the obvious thing to do. However, and professional would do a quick check that it was OK to do so once they could see/test what is already in.
