Okay it seems a few heads are having issues with the forum not loading a page, you usually get the "No Data Received" error message if using Google Chrome web browser. Other web browsers give other error pages but it's basically the same.

We're looking into this but we need some accurate times and IP addresses to cross reference server logs.

So when you get the error, please reply to this thread with what you were doing or what page you were trying to load etc. And also include the exact time for me.

So two things:-

What you were doing
The time
(I'll obtain the IP)

Thanks

Another issue is with posting comments.

Type it all out and press "post" and I get a "there was a problem"message and I lose the lot.

I'mm trying to get into the habit of saving a copy before I try to post it but I shouldn't have to.

Please include time and IP geordie.

And thanks for hanging in there (no pun intended) this is an issue I'd like to see gone forever as it keeps coming back.

I'll try, but I get confused with all this IT/ IP nonsense - I'm a Geordie plumber .......

UPDATE - tried posting above. Got message "An error occured" and didn't post. Time 14:41. IP fleck nose.

This webpage is not available[/h]The connection to www.electriciansforums.co.uk was interrupted.
Check your internet connection.
Check any cables and reboot any routers, modems, or other network devices you may be using.

Allow Opera to access the network in your firewall or antivirus settings.
If it is already listed as a program allowed to access the network, try removing it from the list and adding it again.

If you use a proxy server...
Check your proxy settings or contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working. If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server: Go to the Opera menu > Settings > Change proxy settings... > LAN Settings and deselect "Use a proxy server for your LAN".

Personally, I wouldn't be posting my IP address on an open forum.
Admin can get it from their end (I think!).

Yeah, getting ahead of myself here. You're probably right. I can get the IP i just need to be quick enough to make sure I'm getting the one related to the issue and not one it might change to a day or so later.
