Hi all

Anyone in the Hull area might be interested in a free 2394/2395 course! I phoned Hull Collage on Thursday to speak about my apprentice and while I was on the phone they told me about funding etc. It's for firms with less than 250 employees, already passed the number on to my mate and he's signed up too. I was looking to do them anyway as my 2391 is 15 years old! Only thing is its night classes Where my preference is block courses, saved me £900.00 though. Happy days

They must have got a grant to train people, or have loads of money left over before their end of year accounts

Hull is currently trying to attract Siemens who want to build a rather large offshore windfarm production plant. Siemens require a constantly improving skillset in the local population to justify moving here. European development money was applied for, and that's where I understand this funding came from.

Hi I signed up for the free courses on Thursday and I asked the guy where the money came from. He said it was from the EEC and this area has got because it has been recognised as having a "skills shortage". The funding was available across a wide range of fields not just electrical. Thanks EEC (European Economic community).
