This is a 20a receptacle not working. I switched off the breaker and checked with dmm for 0. I pulled the receptacle out. The two hots were loose. It looked like as I pulled the plug out the two blk slide out of the hole they're supposed to be locked into. One of the white wires was hot. It reads 120v. I turn off another breaker. This looks like a 10/3 with the wire pulled through the kitchen counter top receptacles. At this point, with the breakers off and 0v measured, I swap out the receptacle. All 2 blk to blk, 2 wht to wht.. green to grnd.. The gfci lit up red and now the receptacle that has the red wire on a separate breaker is not working, reads 0v. Red wire coming out of breaker measures 120v.
Now she doesn't have power to the receptacles on the red wire and I'm puzzled about the white wire with 120 v?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
