Help with outside lighting....

Hi, I need help to find an outdoor wall/step light. It needs to be surface mount but not wider then 70mm as they're to be mounted on the posts. It's to light up some very dark stairs at night for an old lady who's just had a hand rail built after a fall. I can't seem to find any that aren't recessed.

Is the house opposite hers? Might it be easier to stick a couple of PIR lights on the house?

Did think about that but they aren't the biggest fans of having lots of floods up/ don't want the light going into neighbours windows which is to the rhs

What about spike type lights

What about some led tape on the under side of the lower rail?
It would just light the steps if angled correctly.

That's a good shout bit of Ali profile and then I could put all the gubbons in the garage

You can also get 45 degree LED tape or 45 degree profile

Have a look at the Saxby Severus (61211) 3W LED brick light is 230 x 80. Mounted "the wrong way" it will only overhang the post 5mm on each side. They only project 27mm. I have used them for a similar situation.

Went with these in the end,.not bad quality for the price of each fitting either
