Yeah that's basically what we said, as long as the height doesn't impose on safety then there shouldn't be a problem of fitting at a non standard height.
 
I must say though being a sparky inboard a ship was SOS much easier than in the domestic world, there's just so many rules and reg to follow!

I knew an old school spark onboard that lost his rank because in his mess he did some work and made all the bulk heads ( metal walls ) around the mess live!
and he electrocuted one of his ship mates!!!!!!
The navy won't give him his senior rank back lol

Obviously his earth rod wasn't into the sea bed deep enough.
 
Yeah I not like ethe look of trunking either but what the customer want ect...
