Hi there,

They look good don’t they, I’m thinking of getting one, ideal for finding down light cables after your apprentice swears the cables are there.:D:D

Cheers KJ

I was that apprentice :p

No the new best one is taking pictures of the ceiling on the camera phone with all the positions, then deleting the picture by accident as second fix is months later

Must admit I've had occasions where it would have saved lifting floor boards unnecessarily (well some were necessary, some weren't).

Good that it has extension leads as well. Pity it doesn't have a grab tool with it as well coz that'd be a really useful addition.

Think the really expensive ones have that function, the ridgid one has a hook and a magnet.

Thats an expensive model at £650ish, The seesnake is lower cost at £180ish. With slight diy modifications you could easily add a magnet or simply strap a small flexi grab hand onto the camera shaft. Nice bit of kit and definately beats the inspection mirror.......:D

I have this one [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQFt6YL9eZ0]YouTube - Aardvark Wireless Inspection Camera[/ame]

It is really good, I would recommend it.

It was 160. And then I brought another pole so i could go further. It has a memory card slot so that you can record your findings. Its better than the milwaulkee one as the camera part can be used separate from the pole bit. It has paid for itself really.

I bought the Milwaukee one for £150 delivered and am really happy with it. Tested it out by drilling a small hole in a floorboard to check for cables/pipes before using circular saw and it was brilliant. Also if you have lost a cable for a downlighter, the hole is already there so another brilliant use.

I did look at the seesnake and also the super rod one (which looks just like the aardvark) but the milwaukee seems much better and comes with a rechargable battery giving upto 15 hours.
