Hey everyone,

i just signed up after finding the site through a random google trawl. I've just competed level 2 C&G 2365 (one year, part time) as I attempt to move across from the motor trade where I work as a general fitter and have done so for most of my life. I was hoping to enter the trade at a basic level before starting level 3. I'm not sure if it is possible, though most of my fellow students already are so I don't see why I shouldn't be able to.

i was thinking either stay in a regular day job for another 2 years and do level3 or do 17th and try to find a lower skilled job and then do level 3. I'd personally much prefer the second instance!

Welcome to the forum.

Finding employment at your level can be a challenge, however there should be openings out there, it will generally take a lot of work to find a suitable placement.
If you have no luck initially then it may be worth checking with your college to see if you could start level 3 and during that time search for a job and if you are successful then transfer your course to day release or evenings as appropriate.
You need to get your information out there to potential employers and make sure it is positive and confident.

Good luck.

Hi thanks for the encouragement. I'm due to move from just outside North West London to the South East-Greenwich area so I'm also trying to find another college too.
