Kitchen Island Hoods

I have a new house and the kitchen needs a cooker island hood (hob is on an island and not by a wall). The ceiling is 2330 mm high, the worktop and hob 930 high so I need to find a hood that is less than 750 high and preferably one that comes as low down from the ceiling a possible. I have not been able to find any ceiling mounted hods under 750 high online, can anone please help?

Building Regs require cooker hoods to be a minimum of 650-700mm above the hob surface or in accordance with manufacturers instructions. Most that I am aware of use the 750mm as a minimum so they are well outside the minimums of the regs. Only suggestion I can make is ring round a few kitchen fitters and see if they are aware of any that would meet your requirements.
