30mA is the level required for socket outlets, cables in walls, etc.
If you're designing installations for the UK, you need to get the latest edition of BS7671.
so basically all sockets in a home need 30ma RCD? Nothing less or greater?
Basically Yes 30mA is the standard rating for the protection of persons on final circuits, similar to your 6mA GFCI breakers and integral GFCI receptacles...
