lighting circuit required urgently

Hi
Is there any one out there n sparky world can draw me a wiring diagram for the following. You can see the drawing that n entering the main door top of the stairs, on the left will be two double switches one will be able to turn on the main light, with the option to be able to turn on/off from the bedside as well. The other double switch again to be able to turn on/off the beside lighting.

I hope someone can help?

yes. i can see the need for 3 way switching for the main light, but not for the bedside ones.

Looks like two sets of mutli-way switching controlling both the main light and bedside lighting from three positions ..... but no automatic switching control for the oil dispensers !

I am a electrical panel engineer so me doing the work is not an issue all want is a simple diagram of how to run the wiring, and I want to be able to turn the lights on and of fro the bedside, as my brother is now bed ridden following drunk driver hitting him, leaving him unable to ever walk. This way he can control the room lighting. So "it is nothing kinky" as some has said?

Its quite common in a lot of bedrooms. I'd prefer RF hand remote controlled switching myself...

I'm assuming that there will be some sort of extra wiring to be fitted maybe ie making a single light switch a 2 or 3 way or adding extra light pendants? & if so wouldn't that be notifiable?

Hi Thanks for your reply. In the room there are three further light rose fittings and three switches to use if required.

Considering your an engineer with your 17th part p and pat testing chuckle I am amazed you need help with a basic school boy wiring system.

This would not apply if the circuit altered was in a special location. Ie a bathroom.

It would then fall under notifiable works.

Glynn, firstly sorry to hear about your brothers situation, life can be a cruel place. Regarding the wiring of the circuit Tazz as already posted the diagram you need to carry out the job in post 2.
If after reading the diagram you are still unsure of how to do it then I would seriously consider getting a local electrician in to do it for you,you could even help him with the labouring side of the job to keep the cost down. It is better to be safe than sorry mate.

Looks to me as if there is no door between the bedroom and the shower room area. Lucy can’t be very hygienic...lol.

I wonder if the OP has considered the IP rating of the switch between the bedroom and bathroom. It's going to need to be suitable for the external influences of the situation, namely all those oily fingers.

Hi Glynn the oil or infact the 710 dimension at each side of the bed is where the "kinky" comes from 710 upside down as in the drawing is OIL.
My son had a similar accident and was in intensive care over 12 week followed by another 6 month in hospital he is lucky as regained some use of his legs and now can walk short distances so have an idea what you are going through and wish you all well.
