Hi, silly question but in College we only learned how to mark up holes for end caps. I’m just wondering what the standard practice is for marking holes in steel trunking for attaching couplers?

The previous Electrician I was working with we used templates but there’s non on this site so i’m using a tape and set square but it seems fairly time consuming?

stupid question yeah

again I realise this is a amateur question

The fixings for end caps should be the same dimensions as those for couplers. (If the same make)
So mark up using an end cap and the coupler should fit.

Nothing to input to the thread but you might want to consider joining the trainee section if you're studying. PM @Dan for access

Block of flats in Perth around New Year, riser fire took out the top 3 floors. Open Concrete walkways.
Fixing 100mm galvo trunking (which was hand balled up from the ground) to the ceiling of the walkways, never again will I touch unistrut, zebs or trunking again in my life. My arms still hurt when I think about it!
