TBH it doesn't look the prettiest. Yes there's slight risk of a trip hazard however I'd be more concerned about bored youths kicking the crap out of it.
I'm surprised he got a decent Ra that close to the foundations.
Ideally I would have cut one of those paving slabs and installed a proper inspection pit.
Also there was no evidence of checking for other services which could have ended in tears.
I didn’t really like the way he done it. Always thought inspection pits were the norm for rods.
Done one once when I worked for a commercial contractor and used a cat and genny to search for underground services how many self employed sparks actually have one though? Do you hire them? I’ve only ever come across 2 TTs in my time thankfully one as above and one that needed no work done because the Ze was ok. Don’t think I could ever justify a Cat. Are TTs more prevalent down south?
