Currently still serving (Army) and looking for a new career. I’ve just being given another 6 years so I’ve time on my side, if not age. Fancy being a Sparky and was doing some research into courses when I came across this forum. Lots of good info and more food for thought. Looked at various trainers and have read the courses feedback on this forum. Just need to commit and go for it.

Any advice would be greatly received.

Gents,

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Chris - I've already got the Able brochure. They are currently my number one choice, min 20 weeks training to get the quals. That’s 14 weeks morre than most course trainers Iv’e come across so far. That said I will continue to look around for a couple of weeks before I commit some serious money.

Jim - No sparks where I am. It’s an Army training regiment, lots of fellow Royal Engineers, but like me they are not sparks trained.
