New sockets fault keeps tripping

Hi I have put new socket in hall and ran cable straight to consumer unit,and connected to downstairs sockets . But it keeps tripping . I have used about 10 metres of cable .
Why would this be any help be grateful.

So you have spurred directly from the MCB ?is the CU a modern type ie does it have 2 RCDs?
Have you connected the N to the correct N bar?

Most likely wrong neutral bar can you put up picture of the inside of the board ?

I have double checked and put into mcb with neutral in right slot but still tripping

Not sure what you mean by right slot. is the N from your new circuit connected to the same N bar as the existing RFC Ns ?

I disconnected again but totally puzzled checked cable and changed sockets but still no joy .

Of the 2 N bars, which one are the existing RFC Ns connected too, whidhbar did you connect thre new N into, can you see what people are getting at? Have you IR tested your new addition?

Some observations:

1. The OP has been reviewing the thread recently and hasn't done the decent thing and updated us or responded to any of the points raised

2. This is clearly a business installation for a client....

3. A new circuit is subject to Part P of the building regs if in a domestic property

4. ANY electrical changes in clients properties should be designed, installed and tested to BS 7671 AMD 3, by a competent person with the appropriate test equipment....

5. Lets hope his PL insurance covers such work................

Also noticed from the picture op is going to 32A mcb but stated he ran a cable to the board from the socket. No mention of a ring so im assuming its a spur.
Assuming say Clipped Direct max amps for 2.5 T&E in the BYB would be 27A not taking in to account thermal insulation & ambient temp etc. adjustments if required.

like say putting smoke detect circuit on with lighting?

others argue any new cable installed in to the CU is notifyable

It's not a new circuit, you can spur from any point on a RFCthe MCB included.
