i need a wiring cct for a pir to be added to existing 1 way lighting cct with the one way switch as the override switch please:mad:

if its an existing light you want to switch with PIR, run 3 core & earth from light to PIR. black (perm. L in light fitting) of 3core to PIR L, brown to PIR S/L form light L, grey (sleeved blue) neutral from light N to PIR N. connect earths only if PIR is class 1. existing switch and PIR are then in parallel and either will turn the light on

Thank you but i have just drawn out the circuit and if the light switch is left on say overnight the light will stay on...i need the pir to turn light off when switch is either on or off, does this make sense?

sounds tricky. why leave switch on when you want the PIR to switch the light?
