Pre wired garden spike lights

These pre wired spike garden lights, that have about 2 metres of cable between each light. Are'nt you supposed to disconnect each one, put the cable in conduit, and bury the cable, then reconnect lights again?? Not sure why they sell them pre wired. The supply is swa, buried in the ground, rcd protected etc..But cant work out why they sell them pre wired?

Sorry, when i say supply. There is a supply out to the back garden in swa.
