The electrician is enthralling her with earthing arrangements, MCB types and the intricacies of two way lighting that includes an intermediate switch. This is why electricians are either single and live at home with their parents or only have one child.

You're not alone Charlie.
My take is it's " a supposedly gripping drama which is often slightly less gripping than the latest IET guidence note" :rolleyes: .

Getting back on topic. It is an American socket, presumably in America. In which case it is compliant if it has a GFI built in.

Ground Fault Interrupter ..... Does seem a reasonable name.
How did we end up with a more technical sounding "device"?
...(or is it all about Re-Designed copies)
