Hello

I've had a peek in the search engine to look for any threads on software that I can use when supplying electrical quotes but had no joy.

Is anyone using something or know something (ideally free) that I can use. All I'm looking for is to be able to quickly draw the layout of a room and then mark the locations of fittings. I don't need anything too swish, just something that is quick and easy.

I do it by hand at the moment using graph paper but it takes blimmin ages and isn't as convenient as I'd like for my record keeping.

Any suggestions as always are much appreciated.

Cheers

have a look at Autocad WS - its a web based system and free. Even works on your smartphone!

www.autocadws.com

Alternatively, if it's just straight lines and squares, you could even use a spreadsheet - set the cell size to be a square and then you can just drag border frames etc.

or try gadwin diagram studio. it's free. and quick and easy.
