Agreed a job to change half a dozen internal light fitting and one external light fitting, turned up this morning, was told the house had been fully rewired 6 months ago by one of them part p electricians..so i had a poke around as u do.... 001.jpg005.jpg007.jpg008.jpg019.jpg022.jpg024.jpg025.jpg

Yeah didnt find out the cost, but the old chap is about 90 if hes a day,in really bad health, and his carers(family) went on holiday while the work was been carried out,so he was home alone with these cowboys!!

If you could see the expression on my face.... Picture with the light, is that twisted and insulation tape ? What plumber done this then... *sighs*... Pathetic they take advantage of less able...

The guy who carried this lot out trades a few miles from myself and is NICEIC domestic installer and approved contractor,(i checked the register cos i couldnt beleive it!!) left no paper work etc..i only hope he reads this forum,he might go back and finish it off :innocent:.....

they don't get much shoddier than that. it looks like they haven't rewired the shower - thankfully. although i think i'd check to make sure they haven't stuck a 10.5kw in.

Hi,

That's a DIY job at best, how can you walk away from that! I'm glad I'm not registered with anyone, I'd hate to be tarred with the same brush, what does it say about registration?

Regards.

When I'm resurrected, I want to be a cat. It's embarrassing being a human sometimes.

The only good thing I could see was the routered slot above the meter.

This just shows how bad things are with all this part p s##t these schemes are just a money making joke ,ban these electrical trainee schemes and have like a jib card system with a phone number customers can call to check there qualifications with a unique PIN number .

Why protect him, name and shame him on here or is that against "the rules" if it is we should all be Bradley Manning (check out the vid on you tube) lol

if there was EVER a thread that justifies the abolishment of the part p scheme , its this.

epic fail of the highest order

and we all know damn well the nic will do f. all

report him lol ? i'd kick his head in.

Wow what a neat contentious installation that is there, The outside lights very tidy, its hard to tell he has even been there. Always nice to see a big hole blown through the wall an then line up with trunking nicely. I was under the impression that the niceic were quite strict on work standards, would love for this clowns assessor to take a look at this shambles,This is a unsupervised 16 year old kids on work experience job surley

IMHO While all this whinging behind someone's back keeps going on these people will keep getting away with it. So please stand up and name and shame him on a public forum............as he or she will keep doing this crap and taking people's money, you can see by the workmanship they just give a sh"t and I'm afraid you will be partly responsible for not doing your utmost to put a stop to it, think of it as your duty....................

Well said.

Most members on here could do a better job whilst wearing a blind fold!!!!

This goes beyond "name and shame." Its the case of "report them/him before someone dies."

doubt it. legally, libel only applies if what you say is untrue.

Could there be consequences for the person doing the naming and shaming?

I don't see how posting pictures and naming the person who did the work can have any legal implications - it's not as if you're slagging off or rubbishing their work, you're just displaying pictures of it for people to make up their own mind.

Why has he got 3 cables in a 16a breaker when there is a spare 16a?

pointless question when you look at the rest, that is some amazing work

it's all well & good baying for this fella to be outed, but we don't know anything about him or his personality. he won't be too pleased to see his details plastered all over the internet and you have to remember the old fella who had the work done - how would you feel if this scroat went round and took it out on him?

the best way to proceed is to try and get him to sort out this mess or, failing that, report him to his scam and trading standards.

name and shame the ar**hole makes me mad everytime a think about it , he has screwed the old guy over and endangered his life , who cares if he wont be pleased

The niceic need to be contacted and THEY should have to get another contractor in to re-do the whole install and for free, what else are all these fees for, they are supposed to implement electrical safety, not all for profit, probably a slim chance of them doing it but if it were me i would have to get thes pics over to them and chase it up,the guy is probably living up to the £50k promised on the ads for sparks, in and out quick yehaaa
