Switched the external garden lights on all working except 1,they’ve been working for over 2 years.
Got a replacement from B & Q , no hassle at all,they are column lights Led.
Haven’t yet refitted,but made the joint waterproof with a shopping bag.
Got home last night switched the lights on ,Rcd trips,looks at joint ,everything ok,try’s again ,Rcd trips.
At moment haven’t a clue,Mrs going mad...,what have you done...etc
Can’t wait to get home later & have a go...Spooky.

Have you tried filling the shopping bag with pva glue... It might help..
 
doggy poo bags are much cheaper and take up less room.

Now I know why Screwfix Placky bags were so tough, 2nd use as a waterproof joint cover, this OP has to be a wind up, surely??
