Nothing like an emergency quick fix.
I just wish I’d got photo’s of one of my best lash ups. A 4mm flex lock strapped at one end to a machine that traversed 6.5m, the other end to a handrail outside the switchroom. Inside the switchroom a Variac with a rectifier taped to it were sat on the floor. It was feeding a DC motor on the traversing bogie.
It lasted the shift out, what more could anyone want? What’s safety got to do with it?
