It does have the earth connection.Absolutely not like that, it does not have an earth connection, it is not the correct type, look at the plug the treadmill has and the fact the instructions say it must be earthed.?
What on earth is going on here:Thanks! Here is a picture of the fuse box and treadmill plug, the plug says 16A 250v
I have no idea
Yo, sorry.Already asked in post 6.
To be honest that CU looks long past its sell by date, I would hesitate to plug anything into it.
Probably should be condemnedThat is a rough looking board!
Oh gosh thanks, I actually did not notice that. I think a few years ago there was trouble when the two power showers were used in the house at the same time so could have been that but must get it checked, is it a big job to get a new one?Yo, sorry.
But it wasn't so much the taping over I was concerned about, it's the overheating-verging-on-a-near-fire that has taken place

Going by what is visible, the CU should have been replaced then.Oh gosh thanks, I actually did not notice that. I think a few years ago there was trouble when the two power showers were used in the house at the same time so could have been that
Only the person who inspects and tests the existing installation can tell you how big a job it is to replace the CU.but must get it checked, is it a big job to get a new one?
