Hi All

Got to install some underfloor heating in the kitchen and new conversion, i have installed these before but on a much smaller scale. Question is i have two heating mats at 10m2 each both together come to just over 15amps, is it ok to put these on a 16amp or do you think it mat be a bit to close ?

Also fcu is only rated at 13amps, which options do i have in ways around this ?

cheers paul

Thanks for response, I was planning on putting the 2 mats on one themostat as the kitchen
and conversion will be one room and the thermostat is capable of taking the 2.

If j have to radial circuits surely I would need 2 themostats ?

If they both add up to 15amps how about a 20 amp radial through a 20 amp DP switch, as long as the single stat can handle the load , the only problem might be the floor probes for the two mats or could you run off of one ?

Thanks for that , I think that will be the better choice, as the heater is going to control one room . I think I can get away with just the one probe.

Thinking about it, it wouldn`t be a good idea to use one probe just in case the element where the probe is situated developed an open circuit fault, it would allow the other element to carry on heating up, without a stat/probe in that area to cut the power.
