Hi,
Customer has a rewirable board, pme, and no main bonding.
I can run a 10mm bond to both water and gas(about 10 m), but customer
does not want trunking and due to Granite work tops and tiled walls, its
all a bit of a mare.

Can i bury the cable in plaster? it will be outside any zones.

Even going to the outside has its problems.
They have run the tails through the cavity and I'm worried as to exactly
where it is.

Whats wrong with a bit of trunking? help....

Is there not somewhere more convinient to bond the incoming services?

yes the cable can be chopped into the plaster, just ensure you keep it within wiring zones.

Would you want trunking running across your kitchen walls? i know i wouldnt. Yes you can bury the cable in plaster as long as it installed correctly.

How did this problem come to light ?

Unfortunately would have to be outside Zones, unless i put a dummy
light switch in for the drop.
Not even sure I can do that? theoretically I mean.

I have just invented wireless wiring its very expensive at this time but as sales get going i should be able to reduce the price lol

tell your friend in order to hide the earth cables you'll need a kango , rsj's , accro's and a jcb.
the mini trunking idea will become very attractive very quickly lol.

Are there any junctions in the pipe work from where they enter the building to where you can easily bond to the MET?
Are those lengths 0ohms?

If so, use the 'reasonably practicable' get out clause and make your connections where you can without hacking the place to bits.

A bit of galv conduit buried would sort out the zones.

Zip-tie to pipes, or connect to nearest practical point (after checking it has a very low continuity reading ideally 0.00) leave a note on fuseboard, stating location of bonds,
House would be just as safe for ALL practical purposes when you left and he could get you to do it when his mrs. gets fed up of the kitchen!

that'll be next week then. :juggle2:
