I've got a luminair L fan and light. The unit comes with two transformers - one to convert from mains to 12V ac for the fan, and one 12v dc for the led light.

The problem I have is that the 4 wires entering the actual fan unit are just 2 grey and 2 red. I can't see any way of knowing which are the AC and which the DC?

Can anyone advise please?

What is the bulb holder like? I assume it is non polarised? Those instructions look very poor and the sticker on the unit doesn't seem to match the wiring. I'd expect better from Vent Axia.

Yes, you're right it's non polarised. It's just a push in type.

So I guess the two red (with occasional black sheathing) is the black, and the grey is the white, and it doesn't matter which way around they go?

I'm glad someone else agrees that the instructions and sticker are poor.

I've emailed vent axias tech support just to double check. I'll post their response when they come back to me, and indeed confirm it all works just in case anyone else has this in the future.

Yeah I have just looked through the instructions and it gives absolutely no indication.

Thanks to those who replied. The support team have confirmed that the dc is non polarised.
