Discuss Volt sticks... in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

I have a Kewtech, and its great, never been wrong yet, but always check anyway. I mainly use mine to check lights are working when they have no lamps.

I'm going to buck the trend, I have one I bought from RSComponents but I'm not sure what make it is. It's black and it's called a 'Voltstick', I only use it about twice a year and it works fine, it's about 4-5 years old and still works with the original AAA batteries that came with it.

the best one i,ve used is a fluke pro230, has a notch in the end so you can identify a live cable in a grope

sorry, group

i used a volt stick for years, always spot on now i got a west 166 which lights up and beeps but its always best double check, seen a few sparks check with just that and then lose the end of the driver in a giant flash and a pop.
