I used to do residential electrical work on the side but it has been decades.

Here is my question. I need to run a service from the power pole to a storage building that I want to run electricity to. It is about 100 yards, or so, and I need to know what size wire I need to run from the meter to the fuse panel in the storage shed.

I will be using the shed to work on different things and I will be using a 100 amp fuse panel. Thanks.

#1 AWG copper or 1/0 AWG aluminum. Whatever panel you use, make sure you have a main breaker for this! I'd suggest some anti-corrosion (nolox) on main connections, especially if you decide to use aluminum.
And don't forget to run a ground loop: 2 ground rods, 12' apart, #8 or #6 AWG, continuous to/from ground bar in panel. Be sure to BOND the neutral to the ground.
