hi
Michael mayer prefer not to give address and phone number

I have completed my level 3 city and guilds diploma in electrical installations and 17th edition.I have no work related experience in the industry.the college i went to isn't much help in telling me what to do next; hey just say get a job.I need to start my nvq 3-what ecs card do I apply for-what type of jobs should I apply for-what do I tell my prospective employers-etc.
please could you give me any pointers

I am 38 and know doing well in exams is only a small part of being a good electrician. I just need experience and advice

Hi Michael. It sounds like your college courses are finished at least for now so I'm afraid you don't qualify for access to our trainee forum unless you start on a new course, at which time you can re-apply. I've moved this thread into the main forum where hopefully you can get some advice on how to get experience and employment.

Good luck.
