We are looking to convert a spare room into a new bathroom but the mains comes into this room and the meter/fusebox are in a small cupboard 2m up one wall?
Discuss Whats the rules regarding a fusebox/meter in a bathroom? in the The Welcome Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net
Hi guys and thanks for the responses. I have spoken to building control who say its ok as long as you can't reach the box from shower, bath, sink etc but I was wondering what the actual regulations were. My electrician wasn't 100% sure.
I haven't seen a meter reader since 1974 !The meter and fusebox at my parents' house sits in a cupboard in the downstairs shower room, and has done since 1985 when part of the garage was converted. You would expect a meter reader to have blown the whistle at some point over the years if it was a problem wouldn't you?
Well that would explain it then!I haven't seen a meter reader since 1974 !
