Hi

Built a sliding door wardrobe and want to finish it off by having a 3 metre strip of RGB leds along the top edge of track to shine down on the glass doors. Is it safe / ok to NOT use the power adapter the light came with (laptop type supply) and instead have them powered from a 12v LED driver that is hard wired into the main bedroom lighting circuit ? Or is it just safer to stick with the supplied adapter? I only ask cos i wanted to free up the wall plug socket if possible. Many thanks.

You can connect a driver to the lighting circuit, but would suggest getting a local spark in, can`t see this being an expensive job
