I thought I should share with you the cheapest way to get 17th edition, for those that have to sit full exam. I used ELECTACOURSE.COM 59quid inc vat for downloadable course to study at your own pace.Their online exam simulator was great for practice questions. The exam itself is then applied for at a centre near you.My exam fee was 60 quid. I breezed through it. Some places are charging up to 500 for the same. I would highly recommend their 2382 course BS7671.(even though they had a few minor mistakes)

A friend of mine payed £50 to do exam and passed, he thought he would have 3 go's rather than £150 for 1day plus exam.
By the way if you done the 16th after 2001 you only do the short test (30 questions), before 2001 it's 60 .
