ive decided that a pygmy lamp and holder is the best to fit in a show room lounge to light a small feature.

ive 1st fixed it so just have a switched live in place, but after looking at the finished work, seems im pushed for room with out it been on show.

i need it to be dimmable all the way down to virtully nothing, just as a normal candesent lamp!

To me a pygmy lamp is a small SES lamp, it would usually be filament or maybe CFL/LED. What type are you using?

If you're thinking about this type then they are dimmable from 0-100%.

If you dim very low, the colour rendering index will be unpredictable. Usually the lower you dim the warmer the light temperature. This might be a problem in the case of display lighting where you typically want to stay in a range above 5000 Kelvin.
