Hi

I have recently decided to change careers and want to get some practice wiring and terminating at home, I currently wish to practice terminating SWA cables, I was wondering is there anywhere or anyone I am able to get just like 1M of cable or any scraps? Can't justify buying a reel at this stage in the game.

The Orange shed sell SWA by the metre, and glands at least the one in Northampton does. Think I have a few bits in my cave you're welcome to collect if you want them.

I have about 10 glands complete 20mm plus shrouds, Piranha earthing nuts cleats, Banjos. collection required £20 tool fund donation is all that's required for the lot plastic case included.

I would just ask on this site if anyone has a bit of SWA floating around that you could have. I always have a selection of off cuts which I’d be happy to give away, but you would need someone close by in London where you live.

also ask the wholesaler if they have any tat. I often see short lengths lying around at mine. Tell them you’re a poor apprentice and I’m sure they’ll help

I got some swa, fp200 & sy cable to practice on by the meter ( i got 5m of each ) from one of my local wholesalers tlc direct.
