Went to a job today simple job on the face of it , went to take up some floor boards and who ever had them up previously used a combination of no more nails and small robertson square head screws to put them back down...

the one screwdriver I don’t own is a Robertson set, wasted trip and will have to go back now with my circular saw, angle grinder and pry bar.

who uses Robertson screws and no more nails to put floor boards back

grrrrr

Someone with a lot to hide, how did it smell?

I like Robertson heads although like @Dustydazzler I have been caught out without the bits a few times. Once was in Tangier in Morocco where a local metal fabricator let me use a bench grinder to make a couple out of spare hex bits, another was in Kirkjubæjarklaustur in Iceland where I filed one by hand. In a quarry in Shepperton I managed to jam an old screwdriver into the heads. But now I never leave home without my Snap-on limited edition S2 driver, even when I'm just popping down to the kebab shop.

Doner or Shish?

Until fairly recently I had only ever seen them in Canada.

They are a good design as the slight tape on the square bit means it fits snugly for a moderate range of driver & screw tolerance (unlike the parallel style of Allan keys, etc).

But an absolute PITA if you don't have matching bits :(
