Hey All,

Not electrical I know but I was wondering if anyone could help me.

I have had a new boiler fitted but I need to fit a pipe for the pressure releif valve.

The only question is what sort of pipe would go on the end of this valve as it staggers up as show in the pics.

Could any one tell me where to get hold of pipe to fit this black valve so I can get it sorted.

if its a new boiler it should be a condensing boiler and the drain i think should be plastic as it will drain condesated water which can be corrosive .got to ask why didn,t the installer fit the drain

Hey,

The condensing pipe is installed, on the second picture you can see the flexi pipe which is the condensing drain pipe.

Its the High Pressure Releif valve which is the problem, which is the black plastic valve you can see sticking out on the right hand side.

Ash

And the installer only fitted the boiler as a favor, it was tested and fitted correctly its just I said I would sort out the pressure releif valve as he didn't have any pipe that would fit.

Get the plumber back in. Building regs says something like must be taken to a visible and safe place, normally some kind funnelled discharge dish (not sure what it's called).

Thats not the pressure relief valve pipework, that looks more like an internal drain point. The PRV should be 15mm copper. What boiler is it?

No need for a tundish either, just needs to be taken outside and either bent back to the wall or terminated at ground level to prevent splashes of hot water (at pressure) causing harm.
