anyone recommend me a good simple book, or a book with a chapter or two, or even online resource that goes into how different central heating systems work and how to diagnose faults. The 2330 never mentioned them :(

Looks good Malcolm but decided to go for THIS in the end - bit dearer but at least it is spiral bound so might stand a bit more abuse. Might still get your suggestion if this one disappoints.
