Discuss Central Heating Controller/thermostat in the Electrical Wiring, Theories and Regulations area at ElectriciansForums.net

I was just wandering if anybody can help me. The controller to the combi has gone missing during a refurb all that is left is a 4c cable and the backplate. My question is that all the central heating controllers you see eg:siemens, honeywell ect will these be suitable or do i need to get a specific one depending on the make of the boiler.

If it's an external programmer then any make should work fine, as all you will need for the combi is a SL signal for the central heating with the hot water being on demand.

If it's an internal one then you will need to be make and model specific.

I agree with Lenny, the 4c cable will most likely be L,N,CPC & SL back to boiler. Any plumbing wholesaler with have a replacment programmer.

Thanks When you say external do you mean eg: wall mounted away from the combi
