I was changing a 3 plate ceiling rose yesterday and was amazed to see that the switch line was in the neutral, I checked every other rose and it was exactly the same the Neutrals were being switched not the live, this is the first time in 50 years that I've come across this. Oh and the cpc's had been cut of flush with the sheaths

It’s never a surprise coming across things like this.

Cut back cpcs is still a common find.

The switched neutrals though… is there something else going on? Like crossed wires somewhere? Recent meter change and the monkey has got mixed up between L and N?

Every light downstairs had a switched neutral, the issue was at the 3 plate Rose every time, it was a rank DIYer that's. for sure, still its fixed now
