hi all

i need to chase out for a new fused spur but my only and i mean only option is to chase up to a corner and then around onto the other wall.

not chased into a corner is it allowed? clearly its still horizontal cant find any where in the regs that say its not allowed.

Any advice

thanks

jim

chase up vertically above yor fcu, then horizontally within 150mm of ceiling.

Im extending the ring to accomadate a fused spur for some lighting and the socket is normal height so what your all saying is i cant chase around a corner unless its at high level can anyone give me the page number of OSG or regs on this.

Cheers

rcd protect it, covers that, but in safe zones you would be future proofing a little ezxtra

its just using little common sense with regs close to what you on about

If the FCU is the same level I would chase around the corner as the zones will run horizontally from the new FCU to the socket no problem

yep. horizontally between accessories is compliant

why dont you drill through the corner ? mark 6 inches back from the corner and drill through at an angle then raggle in either side and put in pipe :)

only if it's in a special location, Simon, bathroom socket, don't think so, kitchen, possibly.
