the builder was kicked off the job as he left it like this since 14th Aug.
domestic works agreement so builder solution and spec.Is this work subject to building control?
Why is the wall being boarded over?
What was the brief given to the Builder re materials to be used, is this in the form of a written contract?
Which room is this, if it's a kitchen is the board going to be tiled once plastered?
Four very good questions. 1 very good answer. How about another 3.domestic works agreement so builder solution and spec.
... Probably what his builder/electrician/tacker thought!!Rosco is right . I'm out.
But the electrician/builder may well be going to fit an extension box on the 2nd fix it is hard to comment on an unfinished job.but as a NICEIC electrician, he should know better and knowtheplasterboard is incorrect. Very worrying indeed
of course you get lime plasterboardNot sure you can get lime plasterboard. Sounds like a big breakdown in communication with the builder/ electrician over the final finish of the wall/rendering.
it's taped not locked off at fuse box. That's my big issuWalls get dot and dabbed all the time, plasterboard gets cut badly around back boxes all the time... Not a major concern. We get over it.
So the builders been kicked off and your complaining the job isn't finished?! Agree that if that circuit is energised you have some cause for complaint, other than that, stop snagging unfinished work
thankyouEither use a metal extension box or replace backbox with a plastic plasterboard back box!
Stay strong, you can resist the temptation to switch that MCB on ;-)it's taped not locked off at fuse box. That's my big issu
